Today we explored the Medieval Herb Garden at Norton Priory…

The herbs had grown very tall there…

We found some mint and Lemon Balm…

It was easy to get lost in this wonderful aromatic garden….

We found a statue of a friendly looking monk…

The monks  of Norton Priory had a hospital and they used the herbs in their medicines…

Nannie Lee found a strange looking berry from a big tree…

We couldn’t guess what it was…

It was a Mulberry Tree…

We decided to leave the herb garden to search for bugs!

We only found a lonely ladybird…
