We went to Dunham Massey for a wander around its famous Winter Garden…

We knew we were a bit early for the snowdrops…
But there was lots to see…so off we went to explore…
We looked for signs of new shoots…
And we found some crocus just starting to come through…
We found something interesting amongst the mulch… what could it be?
Some very interesting fungi…
The birds came to see us… we saw ducks and moor hens..
Mr and Mrs Swan came to see us too…
They tried to nibble our wellies!
There was so much to see…
Unusual plants…
We spotted some hives…
But all was quiet…the bees were sleeping through the winter…
We found some unusual shapes to look at…
And a wood of tall thin Ash Trees…
And Christmas Roses…
We’re looking forward to coming back in the next few weeks to see how the garden has bloomed….
