Lydia has helped me for a couple of years now in the holidays  and when she did her work experience…well now she is my new assistant…she had to be checked by OFSTED and have a CRB check all which seemed to take ages and now it’s all done…she will be working towards her NVQ Level 3 whilst working with me which will enable her to enter higher education when the time comes…

Lydia is 18 this year and lives in the village…I have known her and her lovely family for a very long time…she wants to enter a caring profession and I am very pleased that she will be working along side me…she is a  volunteer helper at Connect Club which enables young disabled people to socialise on a regular basis…Lydia is a gentle, kind lass who engages wonderfully with any child in her care… she also makes a smashing cup of tea!

The children and I are delighted that she is joining us… Lydia will not be left in sole charge of the children… but she is an extra pair of capable hands which will be a credit to my setting…
