This is Betty who is a champion layer…she came with the others from Uncle Rick’s farm…

There are thirty main breeds of chicken…our girls are Warans…and they cluck around their cosy coop all day…their coop is child and fox proof!

This is Joanne …she has just started to lay…she is looking in the wood pile for tasty wood lice! Chickens favourite snack!

The children love to collect the eggs in a special little basket and then have boiled eggs for lunch…with soldiers of course…

The OFSTED inspector liked the eggs too…she took three home with her!
